Dzierzgoń [ˈd͡ʑɛʒɡɔɲ] ( German Sorge ) is a river in the historical Pomesanien and Pogesanien landscapes east of the lower Vistula .
The river rises at Wielki Dwór ( German Ankern ) in the municipality of Małdyty ( German Maldeuten ) and flows after about 45 km into the Druzno ( German Drausensee ), whose outflow, the navigable [[Elbląg (river) | Elbląg ( German Elbing )]] ], flows into the Zalew Wiślany ( Fresh Lagoon ) .
The city of Christburg was founded on the river in the 13th century . Since 1945 it has also been called Dzierzgoń in Polish . The Dzierzgoń ( German Sorgensee ), on the other hand, is located in the course of the Liwa ( love ), the largest tributary of the Nogat .
The Prussian name Sirgun means "stallion river". With the Second Peace of Thorn in 1466, the concern ( fluvium Szirge ) from Christburg to the Drausensee border river between the Duchy of Prussia and Prussia became a royal share .
