East Greenbush is a town ( Town ) in Rensselaer County in the US state of New York . In the west, only the Hudson River separates the town from Albany .
history
The city was founded in 1855 under the name Greenbush and has had its current name since 1858. A Hamlet had existed since 1630, a church since 1787, and a post office since 1845.
