Eaten Alive (Original: Infested ) is an American horror film from 2002. Directed by Josh Olson , who also wrote the script.

After the mysterious death of her old school friend Steven, his old clique, a group of yuppies in their mid-thirties, meets again at his hometown funeral. The eight extremely successful companions of yore, some of whom have not seen each other for years, spend the weekend in Carl and Ellen's remote holiday home, where the deceased was previously buried in the garden. Little did the mourners suspect that the property is infested with a brood of mutant and aggressive flies that need human flesh for food.
In this peaceful idyll, the joy of reunion prevails, you soon think back to the good old days, refresh long-forgotten memories and old love affairs. But the mood suddenly changes when a little later the first of the mourners are attacked by an aggressive swarm of flies, which nests in the bodies of the victims, lays new eggs there and turns the host into a willless, murderous monster.
Mindy, their first victim, and Carl soon attack the rest of the warned group in order to infect them as well. The shocked guests try briefly to face the inhuman beings in battle, but they have to realize that they have no chance. The five survivors barricade themselves in the country house without being able to contact any help. Your refuge becomes a death trap.
Ellen and Elliot discover by chance that these flies are extremely sensitive to light and music. Nevertheless, the number of school friends is rapidly declining after they gradually fall victim to their mutated comrades or their deadly flies. At nightfall, the last two survivors, Jesse, the friend of the late Steven, and Eric, a drug-addicted bon vivant, try to lure the creatures with music, in order to then fight them effectively in a huge explosion. Before that happens, however, at the end of the film her school friend, who was believed to be dead and who was buried at the beginning of the film, appears and kills Eric.
Steven reveals himself to his traumatized friend Jesse, who is now the only survivor as the initiator of the insect plague. His goal is to get revenge on his former schoolmates, whom he considers incorrigible yuppies, and thus do the world a service. Jesse uses this speech from her ex-boyfriend to escape, but before that he explodes the property with all the infected monsters. At the end of the film, Jesse flees powerlessly into the care of the resident priest, who suddenly holds her in tears and loud screams; he appears to be infected as well. The film owes a clarification at this point, rather the strip leaves the outcome of the film to the viewer's imagination.

Zach Galligan ( Gremlins ) and Megababe Amy Jo Johnson ( Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles ) pull out all the stereotypes. An entertaining pleasure. "
