M. David Mullen

Merritt David Mullen III (born June 26, 1962 in Iwakuni , Japan , in credits M. David Mullen, ASC ) is a Japanese cameraman and a member of the American Society of Cinematographers . His best-known works are Astronaut Farmer and Jennifer's Body , in 2000 and 2004 he was nominated for the Independent Spirit Award with Twin Falls Idaho and Northfork, respectively.

Life

Mullen studied at the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts) from 1988 to 1991 , having previously earned a Masters of Fine Arts in English literature from UCLA . When he began his second degree at CalArts at the age of 27, he says he had around ten years of self-taught experience as a filmmaker . The American magazine American Cinematographer was significantly involved in this , in addition to visiting film screenings .
