Mark Margolis

Mark Margolis (born November 26, 1939 in Philadelphia , Pennsylvania ) is an American actor .

Life

After attending Temple University , Margolis moved to New York , where he attended the Actors Studio , among other things . One of his most famous roles is in the film Scarface as Alberto, the driver . Margolis is also known through his collaboration with Darren Aronofsky : He can be seen in Aronofsky's films Pi , Requiem for a Dream , The Fountain , The Wrestler , Black Swan and Noah . Aronofsky wrote the role of Father Avila in The Fountain especially for Margolis.

More recently, he has had several guest roles on various television series. For his recurring role in Breaking Bad as Hector Salamanca , who is ultimately dependent on a wheelchair and a bell to communicate, he received a 2012 Saturn Awards nomination for best recurring guest actor. He was also nominated for the 2012 Primetime Emmy Awards for Best Guest Actor in a Drama Series for the season finale of the fourth season of Breaking Bad .
