Eberhard Puntsch

Eberhard Puntsch (born May 7, 1926 in Dresden ; † January 7, 2015 in Herrsching am Ammersee ) was a German non-fiction author and Bavarian state politician of the FDP . From 1978 to 1982 he was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament . He became known to a wide audience primarily through his widespread quotation manual (first published in 1965).

education and profession

Eberhard Puntsch was born in Dresden in 1926, where he also attended school. In 1944, shortly before the end of World War II , he was called up for military service. Therefore, he could not take his Abitur at a humanistic high school in his hometown until 1946. In the same year he joined the Liberal Democratic Party of Germany . After internment in the Soviet special camp No. 1 Mühlberg until 1948, Puntsch moved to Wuppertal , where he worked for three years as a volunteer and editor at the Westdeutsche Rundschau . From 1951 to 1956 he studied in Munich Literature and Philosophy and was there in 1956 with the thesis about the relationship of poetry and existence at Clemens Brentano for Dr. phil is doing his doctorate .

Since 1956, Eberhard Puntsch has been writing numerous specialist books , especially for the Moderne Industrie publishing house and the Moderne Verlagsgesellschaft (mvg). These deal primarily with the topics of sales psychology , industrial psychology , employee management and business correspondence and are aimed at salespeople in the office and in the field, travelers and supervisors .

After the success of his two books Amüsanter Zitatenschatz (1967) and Witze, Fabeln, Anekdoten (1968), in the 1970s he brought out several joke books illustrated by Ernst Hürlimann , each focusing on certain professional groups - such as managers , teachers , lawyers or Secretaries - were minted.
