Eberhard Sandberg

Eberhard Sandberg (born January 28, 1926 in Schwerin ) is a former German politician ( CDU ). He was chairman of the Gera district board of the Christian Democratic Union of Germany (CDU).

Life

Sandberg, the son of an engineer, attended high school. He had to do military service and was taken prisoner by the US and was held in Heidesheim . At the age of 18, he was forced into the NSDAP on Hitler's birthday on April 20, 1944 .

After 1945, Sandberg completed a new teacher training course in Schwerin and worked as a teacher of mathematics and physics from 1948 to 1961, first at the Warin Central School , then at the Fritz Reuter School in Ludwigslust . In 1948 he joined the CDU. In 1961/62 he worked as an instructor for the CDU party leadership. From 1962 to 1970 he was again a teacher.

From 1970 to 1989 Sandberg acted as chairman of the CDU district executive in Gera. From 1954 to 1970 Sandberg was a member of the Schwerin District Assembly and from 1971 to 1990 a Member of the Gera District Assembly. From 1954 to 1989 Sandberg was a member of the main board of the CDU. At times he was also chairman of the national education working group on the main board of the CDU.

He was also a member of the Gera district committee of the National Front and deputy district chairman of the Society for German-Soviet Friendship .

Sandberg lives today (2017) in Apolda .
