Georg Wipler

Georg Wipler (born May 4, 1912 in Katowice ; died after 1992) was a German politician ( CDU ) in the GDR .

Life

Georg Wipler was born the son of a craftsman in Katowice. After attending elementary and middle school , he completed a commercial apprenticeship from 1927 to 1930. From 1930 to 1939 he worked as a buyer and seller as well as a department manager. From 1939 to 1940 he was a self-employed businessman in Katowice. On December 1, 1940, he was admitted to the NSDAP (No. 7854423). During the Second World War he did military service in the Wehrmacht , most recently as a corporal .

After his release from captivity , he went to the Soviet occupation zone and worked as an employee from 1947 to 1949. In 1949 he became a member of the CDU and in 1950 district secretary of the CDU in Burg , then district chairman of the CDU. As early as September 5, 1950, Wipler GI was the Stasi under the name "Graf". In 1951 he was appointed deputy district administrator in Burg and in 1952 deputy chairman of the council of the Burg district . From 1952 to 1959 he was a member of the District Day Magdeburg and from 1953 to 1959 deputy chairman of the CDU district association Magdeburg. From 1960 he acted first as deputy chairman and from May 1960 to September 1968 as chairman of the Gera district association of the CDU. From 1960 to 1972 he was a member of the CDU main board as a successor candidate. From 1960 he was also chairman of the “Christian circles” working group at the Gera district committee of the National Front and from October 1963 a member of the Gera district assembly. After his replacement as district chairman, he became a member of the secretariat of the CDU's main board in 1968.

From 1969 to 1977 he was secretary of the working committee of the Berlin Conference of Catholic Christians from European States . He then retired, but continued to work as honorary chairman of the Berlin CDU local group Pankow-Nord. He also worked as an estate administrator until 1990 . Wipler last lived in Berlin - Pankow .
