Eberhard Seidel

Eberhard Seidel (born December 20, 1955 in Sommerhausen , Franconia , temporarily also Eberhard Seidel-Pielen) is a German sociologist, journalist and publicist . Since 2002 he has been the managing director of " School without Racism - School with Courage ".

Life

Eberhard Seidel attended the Roentgen Gymnasium in Würzburg . After studying sociology , he worked from 1982 to 1997 as a freelance journalist for newspapers and radio. In 1987 he founded the now discontinued monthly magazine Kultur im Wedding .

The books War in the Cities and Skinheads , which were written together with Klaus Farin , have become standard texts for German youth social research because of their approach of letting young people have their say.

In 1997 he was a co-founder of the Archive of Youth Cultures Association .

From 1997 to 2002 Seidel was first editor in the opinion department and then head of the domestic department of the taz . From 1998 to 2001 he was also a member of the board of directors of Taz, the daily newspaper publishing association .
