Eckard Hauser (born October 5, 1940 in Stuttgart ) is a German artist. His main work consists of painting and architecture, predominantly art in architecture ( art in architecture ).

biography

Hauser was born as the son of advertising specialist Alfred Hauser († 1973) and his wife Elisabeth, b. Huber, born. With the beginning of World War II , his father served as an officer . Eckard Hauser was evacuated in 1944 and spent his first school years in Gögglingen , and then a year later in Ulm . In 1948 his father returned home from French captivity and brought his son to the family in Stuttgart. There he attended elementary school and high school a year later. After graduating from school in 1954, he completed a three-year apprenticeship as a window dresser. Two years later, Picasso's first films “Le mystère Picasso” and Henri Matisse'sJazz ” made a big impression on him. In 1957 he passed the entrance exam at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart . A year later he attended a basic class with Hannes Neuner and in 1959 the painting class of Heinrich Wildemann . In 1963 he completed his art studies.

Hauser made regular trips to Munich, where he later relocated. He married Gudrun Freitag and had two sons with her. He completed an internship as a set designer at the Kammerspiele in Munich and met Jean Anouilh at an exhibition in the foyer of the theater . In 1966 he entered into a partnership with the architect Josef Karg at the Karg et Partner architectural office in Munich.

During a trip to the south of France in 1970, he visited Paul Cezanne's studio . As part of the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, he was involved in the planning and artistic design of the church center in the Olympic Village. From 1974 he worked as a freelance painter, architect and designer.

In 1991 he married Yvette Buchner and moved to Inchenhofen . In the spring of 1993 he moved to Italy with his new partner Frauke Weissang, where he had bought a country house near Urbino . The first marble dust pictures were created. In the years in Italy his art was inspired by natural materials and the beautiful hilly landscape of Montefeltro, as well as the world heritage city of Urbino, Raphael's birthplace. In 2002 he moved to Potsdam . He had his own studio in Berlin . He went on a study trip to Palma and visited the Joan Miró studio and museum . He made series of monotypes, collages, ink drawings, watercolors and charcoal drawings. Another study trip took him to Andalusia , where he visited the Pablo Picasso Museum in Malaga, Catedral y Giralda Seville, Alhambra Granada and Mezquita-Catedral Córdoba. He later married Maria Claudia Lattanzio. In 2010 his autobiographical work “Mensch-Kunst-Leben” was published for the exhibition “Three Stations of His Life” at the pro arte art foundation Ulm gallery in the Kornhauskeller Ulm.
