The U-Bahn station Klinikum Großhadern is a station of the Munich U-Bahn .
It was opened on May 22, 1993 and is the terminus of the U6.
The rear track walls consist of aluminum panels burned in enamel. The two 120-meter-long and 5-meter-high background walls were artistically designed by Eckard Hauser and also produced by him over a period of one year. The passenger experiences the serene landscape of the foothills of the Alps in the four seasons that await them when they leave the train.
The pillars in the middle and the walls around the elevator are covered with brown tiles. The platform, which is laid out with a red Isar pebble motif, is illuminated in color, as green, yellow and blue aluminum slats are attached to the ceiling between the lamps.
There are two nine meter high glass pyramids on the surface of the stairs. They should actually be twice as high and resemble the one in front of the Louvre in Paris. A café was even supposed to be built into one, but everything was discarded due to lack of money.
On the north side an elevator and escalators and fixed stairs lead to a P + R parking lot and to the footpath to the clinic . On the southern side you can reach a small bus station and Max-Lebsche-Platz.
