Franz Freiherr ( count since 1902 ) von und zu Bodman (born May 7, 1835 in Bodman on Lake Constance; † November 14, 1906 at Bodman Castle ) was majorate and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Bodman visited the Royal Pagerie in Munich . He enrolled at the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg in 1854 and was active in the Corps Rhenania Freiburg . As an inactive he switched to the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg and the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn , where he also joined the Corps Guestphalia Bonn . After he was still at the Agricultural Academy Hohenheim , he undertook major trips to France, England, Italy and Russia. In 1868 he was one of the founding members of the Association for the History of Lake Constance and its Surroundings . From 1869 to 1900 he was majorate at Bodman Castle and member of the I. Chamber of the Baden Estates Assembly , from 1887 as Vice President. He was chairman of the Baden Farmers' Association and Landowners.

From 1877 to 1884 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the center and constituency of Baden 14 ( Tauberbischofsheim ).

Franz von und zu Bodman married Sophie Freiin von Landenberg (1838–1887) in 1860. In 1890 he married Freifrau Elisabeth von Speth, nee. Countess Bissingen-Nippenburg (1844–1936).
