The Westpark U-Bahn station is a station on the Munich U-Bahn . It was opened on April 15, 1983 and is one of the three train stations opened for the IGA . It is located in the Sendling-Westpark district of Munich under Ehrwalder Straße and is named after the Westpark park . The back track walls consist of yellow, green and blue wall panels that are curved inwards at the top. The pillars in the middle are covered with yellow tiles. The ceiling cladding consists of aluminum slats in which two light strips sit. They illuminate the platform, which is laid out with an Isar pebble motif. At the west end escalators and fixed stairs lead to a barrier floor and on to Treffauerstraße and Klaiser Weg. At the eastern end you can also reach a barrier floor via escalators and fixed stairs and a lift, and Garmischer Strasse on the surface .
