eco.ch

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

eco.ch is a nationwide association, which was founded in 2006 by 15 sponsors to promote projects that serve the conservation and sustainable use of nature. The main project of the association is to support the Forum eco.ch, an annual dialogue and communication platform consisting of three events: eco.naturkongress , eco.festival and the awarding of the Swiss sustainability prices prix eco.ch .

history

The association was established in 2006 under the name "Association Advisory Board NATURE". The founding members were mainly active in the field of nature and environmental protection . Later, new members such as Max Havelaar or Swisscleantech joined, whose areas of activity are increasingly focused on social and economic sustainability. The expansion of the thematic range of members resulted in a renaming of the association from “Association Advisory Board NATUR” to “eco.ch”. The eco.ch office is managed by the Basel company ecos AG.

In the spring of 2017, the eco.ch association adopted its guiding principles. The guiding principles are intended to create additional identity and make the eco.ch network and goals more clearly recognizable.

Sponsorship

The association's sponsorship is broad. The most important and well-known Swiss environmental organizations, associations and authorities in the field of sustainability are members of the eco.ch association.
