The ecoplus. Niederösterreichs Wirtschaftsagentur GmbH is an agency of the Province of Lower Austria with headquarters in the Lower Austria Business Center in St. Pölten . The organization serves to support investors and companies with the settlement and expansion of businesses, the owner is 100% the state of Lower Austria .
17 business parks and four technopoles are currently being looked after across the country. The agency provides advice on suitable locations, offers rental properties and supports companies in the areas of subsidies, business relocation with contacts to research institutions and internationalization steps.
history
Industriezentrum NÖ Süd Gesellschaft mbH was founded as early as 1962 in order to locate new businesses in Wiener Neudorf south of Vienna on the site of the former Flugmotorenwerke Ostmark (due to the legal succession, the company was founded in 1941). In 1972 the Lower Austrian spatial planning, business settlement and structural improvement company (NÖRBS) was established. In 1982 NÖRBS and IZ NÖ Süd merged. In 1987 the company was renamed ecoplus Betriebssettlung und Regionalisierung in Niederösterreich GmbH and started the regional funding program. Since 1990, funding has also been provided through investments in company foundations, and several important industrial and business parks have been created. In 2004, ecoplus opened foreign offices in Prague , Bratislava and Budapest and started the Technopol program, a program to locate companies in close proximity to training centers, and the following year the cluster program. In 2007 an office followed in Timișoara , in 2008 the company moved to the Lower Austrian capital St. Pölten and has since been located in the economic center of Lower Austria . Rental properties are also offered, built and managed in the business parks. In the business parks managed by ecoplus, there are currently around 194,000 m² of rentable space available in around 78 properties (mainly in the IZ NÖ-Süd) and the 4 technology and research centers (Wiener Neustadt, Tulln, Krems and Wieselburg).

ecoplus operates business and investment parks in the industrial center of Lower Austria South (Wr. Neudorf, Biedermannsdorf, Guntramsdorf, Laxenburg), in Wolkersdorf , Ennsdorf , Bruck / Leitha , Poysdorf , Heidenreichstein , Gmünd - České Velenice , Marchegg , St. Pölten , Wiener Neustadt / Nova City , Kottingbrunn , Kematen , Wieselburg , Schrems , Techno Park Tulln , Strasshof and Wolfpassing .
Wiener Neustadt will have another location with the Föhrenwald business park in the south of the city and will in future be the only city in Lower Austria with two ecoplus business parks.
