Edmund Gilbert , actually Edmund Francis Giesbert , (born June 29, 1931 - † May 8, 1999 in Beverly Hills , Los Angeles , California ) was an American actor and voice actor .

Life

From the 1960s on, Gilbert appeared in numerous films and television series, including The Six Million Dollar Man , Dallas and Knight Rider .

From the late 1980s on, Gilbert mainly worked as a speaker. In the series Käpt'n Balu and his daring crew , he voiced the main character Balu. He became the successor to Phil Harris , who spoke the bear in The Jungle Book , but whose voice had changed too much by now. Gilbert has also appeared in films such as Arielle, the Mermaid and television series such as DuckTales - News from Duckburg and Aladdin .

Ed Gilbert died of lung cancer in 1999 .
