Edition Schwarzdruck is an independent, small book publisher founded in Berlin in 1990 .
history
Initially founded as a bibliophile hand press by Marc Berger at the suggestion of Dieter Wagner , volumes of prose and poetry available in bookstores have been published since 1998 and cultural history books since 2005 . In 2011 the publishing house moved to Gransee .
Program and authors
The program includes prose and poetry, mostly by left-wing German-speaking authors. The non-fiction books deal with literary and cultural history with a focus on the GDR era. A special feature are the titles on circus and artistry history, which come from Gisela and Dietmar Winkler. The publishers' authors include Arthur West , Steffen Mensching , Bernd Schirmer , Waldtraut Lewin , Hadayatullah Hübsch , Udo Degener , Günther Rücker , Peter Gugisch , Beate Morgenstern , Marcus Brühl , Omar Saavedra Santis , Dieter Schiller , Ralf Schröder , Michael Mäde , Eckhard Mieder , Achim Roscher , Dieter Schiller, Ulrich Goerdten , Gonzalo Rojas . In addition, texts from classical literary history, from the Nibelungenlied to Goethe to Tucholsky, are staged typographically or published with graphic illustrations. Postcards, calendars, posters, woodcuts and linocuts are also created in our own metal typesetting and letterpress workshop .
