Eduard Boehler

Eduard Fridolin Böhler (born November 28, 1878 in Schönau in the Black Forest ; † January 28, 1964 there ) was a German Catholic clergyman and local researcher .

Career

Böhler came as the son of the innkeeper Joseph Böhler and Magdalena Böhler, nee. Steiger, to the world. His father ran the Vierlöwen inn in Schönau. After graduation in 1897 in Freiburg, he studied at the University from 1897 to 1900 Catholic theology. In 1901 he came to Meersburg as vicar and in 1903 to the Johannesgemeinde in Freiburg . From 1907 to 1909 he was the preschool administrator in Offenburg , then from 1909 parish administrator of St. Damian and Hugo in Bruchsal. From 1912 to 1952 he was pastor in Bruchsal . In 1942 he was appointed to the clergy .

In addition to his pastoral work, he was an employee of the Markgräflerland working group . He published numerous articles on the history of the Markgräflerland in newspapers and magazines.

He died of a stroke in 1964 .
