Eduard Gottlieb Erxleben (born June 2, 1834 in Karlsruhe ; † June 19, 1890 ibid) was a German lawyer and chief executive, comparable to today's district administrator .

Eduard Gottlieb Erxleben was the son of Eduard Erxleben, a tradesman from Karlsruhe, and the Fanny née Koch. On September 21, 1863, he married Anna, born Eisenlohr (born March 9, 1843 in Bruchsal ), daughter of the district engineer Eisenlohr from Bruchsal. From this marriage there were two children: Elisabeth Julia and Maria Anna (* May 20, 1874).

Life

After graduating from high school in Karlsruhe in 1851, Erxleben studied law at the University of Heidelberg from the winter semester 1851/52 and became a member of the Corps Suevia Heidelberg . From July 16, 1856 he was a legal trainee and from August 14, 1856 actuary at the Karlsruhe City Office . From July 15, 1857, he had the same position at the Konstanz district court . From November 2, 1858, he became a trainee at the Court Court of the Upper Rhine District in Freiburg im Breisgau . On January 12, 1860, he became an actuary at the Waldshut District Court, meanwhile a trainee at the court advocate Dr. Bertheau in Mannheim and finally on February 13, 1863 assistant at the Triberg district office . On April 22, 1863 he became a secretarial trainee with the government of the Middle Rhine District in Karlsruhe. On August 18, 1864, he became a magistrate at the local court in Ladenburg and from November 9, 1866, he became an official at the Bruchsal district office . From May 26, 1868 he became a bailiff and board member at the Triberg district office , where he was promoted to senior bailiff on May 5, 1870. From January 23, 1873 he was appointed senior administrator at the Oberkirch district office and from April 17, 1879 at the Wertheim district office . Finally, he was transferred to the Durlach district office on June 13 , where he was appointed a secret councilor on April 24, 1889 .
