Eduard Miglitz
Eduard Miglitz II. (Born October 21, 1866 in Klagenfurt ; † January 5, 1929 in Graz ) was an Austrian neurologist, chief specialist for nervous diseases , internal diseases and dermatology at the hospital of the Barmherzigen Brüder in Graz and the first medical director of the spa and sanatorium Laßnitzhöhe near Graz.

Eduard Miglitz II's parents were Eduard Miglitz I (1830–1909), kk government councilor and chief director of the Graz-Karlau prison prison . R. and Pauline Kosjek (1836–1915). His two older sisters were Gabriele (1859–1939), married to the Imperial and Royal Judicial Councilor Klemens Ritter von Coll (1857–1929) and Paula (1861–1930), married to the bookseller and printer's owner in Klagenfurt Ferdinand Edlen von Kleinmayr (1863–1920) ). The family was based in Carinthia and Styria.
Life
Eduard Miglitz graduated from high school in Klagenfurt and Graz and received his doctorate in general medicine from the Karl-Franzens University in Graz on July 25, 1899 . He then specialized in the study of anatomy , internal medicine and nervous diseases. He volunteered at the clinics of such famous scholars as Hofrat Hans Eppinger and Hofrat Julius Wagner von Jauregg . From 1893 to 1895 he was the head physician in the women's department at Feldhof near Graz and then primary professor for nervous diseases, internal diseases and dermatology at the hospital of the Barmherzigen Brüder in Graz. In 1901 he founded the Laßnitzhöhe Heilanstalt und Sommerfrische reg. Gene. mb H. and was also elected chairman. He also took over the medical management of the institution. In 1914 he stopped his activity as Primarius with the Brothers of Mercy because his other functions were too busy. During the First World War he ran a military bed foundation in the Laßnitzhöhe sanatorium with the help of the Red Cross . He also conducted his private practice in Graz, Albrechtgasse No. 9. In 1928 he was able to experience that Laßnitzhöhe was elevated to a health resort . Eduard Miglitz II died on January 5, 1929 in Graz, Sanatorium Körblergasse No. 9, and was laid to rest at Graz City Cemetery St. Peter, Catholic part.

From his marriage to Irene Eizinger (1868–1935), a daughter of the kk government council and district captain of Villach in Carinthia i. R. Ignaz Eizinger (1829–1892) and Irene Edle von Vest (1848–1928), the children came from:

Eduard Miglitz III. In 1929 he took over the management of the Laßnitzhöhe sanatorium from his late father.
