Eduard Georg Benedikt Ritter and Edler von Poschinger , from 1901 Freiherr Poschinger von Frauenau (born December 14, 1869 in Munich , † November 27, 1942 ibid) was a Bavarian officer, manufacturer and Reichsrat.

Life

Eduard Georg Benedikt Poschinger came from the old Bavarian Poschinger family , whose lineage begins with Joachim Poschinger (1523–1599), lord of the Zwieselau ( Regen district ) in the Bavarian Forest , and which was first mentioned in 1140.

His father Eduard Ferdinand Poschinger von Frauenau inherited the Frauenau property after the death of his brother Georg Benedikt II von Poschinger in 1900 . The Fideikommiss in 1901, transferred subject to the administration of Eduard Georg Benedict Poschingerstraße. He held the hereditary seat of the Poschinger lineage in the Reichsrat from 1901 until the end of the monarchy.

Poschinger resigned after visiting the Kgl. Pagerie and the Abitur in 1889 at the Wilhelmsgymnasium in Munich entered the military in the 1st Uhlan Regiment . In 1901 he only went to Bayer. Legation to Vienna, then (1902) he became attaché and shortly afterwards business agent of the legation in Dresden.

On May 15, 1902, he married Elisabeth Countess von Bray-Steinburg (1877-1959), the daughter of the diplomat Hippolyt von Bray-Steinburg, in Königstetten .

In 1904 he returned to military service in the 1st and later in the 2nd Uhlan Regiment . From 1914 to 1915 he was in command of the 2nd Chevaulegers Regiment "Taxis" . After being seriously wounded, he took over the management of his estate in 1916 and was also the war correspondent of the III. Army Corps . He managed the glass factory , which had previously been leased to Isidor Gistl , from 1924.
