Edvardas Gružas

Edvardas Gružas (born February 8, 1949 in Žeimiai ) is a Lithuanian administrative lawyer , former police commissioner general of Lithuania.

Life

After graduating from secondary school in Žeimiai , he studied from 1973 to 1979 at the Militia College at the Soviet Ministry of the Interior in Minsk . From 1968 he worked as an inspector, chief inspector and head of a subdivision, deputy chief commissioner in the Soviet-Lithuanian militia. He was then director of the Migration Department at the Ministry of the Interior of Lithuania and from 1998 to 1999 Police Commissioner General of Lithuania. Then he was Consul General in Saint Petersburg (Russia).
