Vytautas Grigaravičius

Vytautas Grigaravičius (born March 6, 1957 in Alytus ) is a Lithuanian administrative lawyer and politician , mayor of Alytus since 2015 , former Police Commissioner General of Lithuania .

Life

In 1986 he graduated from the Vilnius Faculty of the Minsk Militia College at the Ministry of Interior of Belarus. From October 1976 he worked in the militia. From 1976 to 1978 V. Grigaravičius studied at the Kaunas Higher Militia School . He then worked as an inspector, from 1979 in the crime scene, from 1980 in Alytus as a settlement inspector, from 1983 as chief inspector. In 1991 Grigaravičius became police chief inspector . From 1999 he worked on the Police Department at the Ministry of the Interior of Lithuania , from June 1999 as Deputy Commissioner General and then from 2001 to 2007 as Police Commissioner General.

In March 2015 he was elected mayor of the municipality of Alytus in the direct elections of the Lithuanian mayors with a majority of 65.86% in the first ballot.
