Edwin Regan

Edwin Regan (born December 31, 1935 in Port Talbot , Wales ) is Bishop Emeritus of Wrexham .

Life

Edwin Regan was ordained a priest on January 1, 1961 and was incardinated in the clergy of the Archdiocese of Cardiff .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Wrexham on November 7, 1994. He received episcopal ordination from the Archbishop of Cardiff , John Aloysius Ward, OFMCap , on December 13 of the same year; Co-consecrators were the Daniel Joseph Mullins , Bishop of Menevia , and Vincent Gerard Nichols , Auxiliary Bishop in Westminster .

On June 27, 2012, Pope Benedict XVI. the resignation put forward by Edwin Regan for reasons of age.
