The Egelseegraben is a tributary of the Hahnenkammsee near Heidenheim in the Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen district in Central Franconia . Before the reservoir was built, the Egelseegraben was a right tributary of the Rohrach .

The Egelseegraben rises at an altitude of 492  m above sea level. NN between Hechlingen in the east and Hüssingen in the west. It feeds several ponds and takes in several small streams, including the stream that rises from the Sonnenbuck spring. After a run of around 2.2 kilometers, the Egelseegraben joins the Hahnenkammsee south of Hechlingen.
