Egon Geissler

Egon Geißler (born December 13, 1926 in Berlin ; † July 16, 1990 there ) was a German actor and radio play speaker .

Life

Egon Geißler initially worked as a freelance actor before he was appointed to the Theater am Schiffbauerdamm in 1952 . He worked here until 1954 and then moved to the Berliner Volksbühne , to which he belonged until his death and where he was mainly used in supporting roles.

Since the mid-1950s, Geißler also worked extensively in front of the camera, but mostly for television. He was seen more often in the crime series Polizeiruf 110 in the 1970s . His voice could also be heard in some productions of the GDR radio . In the film The Devil and the 10 Commandments , dubbed on behalf of DEFA , Geissler Charles Aznavour lent his voice.
