Egon Karp

Egon Erich Karp (born February 14, 1941 ) is a former employee and politician from Augsburg . From September 2000 to September 2001 he temporarily headed the affairs of the Federal Chairman of the Animal Welfare Party for a year .

Life

At the beginning of 1993, Karp and eight other people participated in the founding of the Human Environment and Animal Protection party . From 1995 he was its deputy federal chairman. He was confirmed in this office at the federal party conference in 1999. After the then party chairman Gisela Bulla resigned from her position on September 8, 2000, Karp was acting chairman for a year, before Jürgen Gerlach was elected as the new national chairman at the federal party conference on September 29, 2001 a year later . Karp then took over the office of chairman of the Federal Statute Commission and continued to be an assessor on the federal executive committee. Karp was a candidate for his party in the 1998 Bundestag election and the 1999 European election .
