Ingeborg Bingener , b. Busch (born May 18, 1922 in Siegen ; † January 26, 2001 ) was a German professor , author and politician . From 1993 to March 1995 she was also the federal chairwoman of the animal protection party .

Life

Ingeborg Bingener lived in Hattingen . As early as the 1980s, she was committed to numerous lectures and publications against the agricultural policy of the European Community , since in her opinion this was harmful to livestock . Together with Ilse Hahn she also founded the Scientific Working Group on Animal Welfare . On January 26, 2001, at the age of 78, she died of a serious illness.

politics

In the 1990s, Bingener and eight other people helped found the animal protection party . At the founding party conference, which took place on February 13, 1993 in the Hotel Continental in Bonn , she was elected federal chairman because of her competence. At that time the new party had nine members. Bingener held this office for a total of two years. Her successor was the author Gisela Bulla at the third federal party conference on March 11, 1995 in Braunschweig . She ran for her party in the 1998 federal election on the North Rhine-Westphalian state list. In the same year she left the party after an internal conflict. The background to this was the processing of the election advertising she designed for the 1994 federal election , which made her feel ignored.
