Barbara Nauheimer

Barbara Nauheimer (* 1949 in Eschwege ) is a qualified psychologist and politician ( non-party , previously an animal protection party ) from Herrsching am Ammersee . From January 2013 to December 2014, she was one of three equal federal chairmen of the animal protection party.

Life

After Nauheimer had completed her psychology degree, she worked for a year as a research assistant at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main . This was followed by four years of work in a psychiatric clinic . Then she worked in a psychological practice. Since the mid-1990s she has been working as a freelancer at TÜV Bayern as a traffic psychologist . Nauheimer has lived in Herrsching am Ammersee since 1992 and has a total of six children.

Nauheimer had an affinity for animals from an early age. She is a sustaining member of Animals Angels , Animals Asia, Vier Pfoten , Sea Shepherd and PETA . In 2009 she joined the Animal Welfare Party. After she had previously followed a vegetarian diet, she switched to vegan in 2010 . At the 31st federal party conference, which took place on January 12, 2013 in Frankfurt am Main , she was elected alongside Stefan Bernhard Eck and Horst Wester as one of three federal chairmen with equal rights. In the 2013 federal election , she ran for fifth place on her party's state list. In the 2014 European elections , she ran for sixth place on her party's federal list. From 2014 to 2019 she worked as a local assistant to Eck, who was a member of the European Parliament during this time. At the end of the year she resigned from the office of federal chairman and left the party.
