Egon Scheubeck

Egon Scheubeck (born June 15, 1931 in Regensburg ; † August 3, 2006 in Zeitlarn ) was a German mechanical engineer , manager and university founder who, as managing director, was largely responsible for the development of the Reinhausen machine factory, founded by his grandfather Andreas Scheubeck, into a world market leader.

Life

Egon Scheubeck was born in the Reinhausen district of Regensburg as the grandson of Andreas Scheubeck († 1942) and the son of Oskar Scheubeck (1895–1978) and his wife Anna, née Reith (1897–1994).

After an apprenticeship as a mechanical engineer and toolmaker in his father's machine factory Gebr. Scheubeck KG, which is now known as Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen. He then studied mechanical engineering in Munich and then worked as an engineer in Zurich , Hagen , Aachen and Munich.

In 1957 he returned to Regensburg in the machine factory Gebr. Scheubeck KG. In 1972 he became managing director for the entire production area. Egon Scheubeck was the last partner working in the company. In 1988 he let the idea of ​​separating capital and management mature.

In 1991 he moved to the management of Scheubeck Holding GmbH & Co. and then retired ten years later into private life.

Scheubeck played a key role in initiating the endowed professorship in sensor technology at the Regensburg University of Applied Sciences . To finance it, he set up the Scheubeck – Jansen Foundation on December 14, 2000 through Scheubeck Holding GmbH & Co. and Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen GmbH as their subsidiary .

From the marriage with Margarete "Grete" Betzold three children emerged. Egon Scheubeck died at the age of 75. The Egon Scheubeck Verwaltungs- und Beteiligungs-GmbH in Neutraubling is now run by Sibylle Scheubeck and Sabine Scheubeck-Schmidt.
