geography
course
The Eichenfürster Bach arises in the sandstone Spessart on the edge of the natural area 141.3 Southeastern sandstone spessart in the area of the boundary of the Marktheidenfeld district Glasofen from two spring branches.
The southern, right and longer source branch rises at a height of about 299 m above sea level. NHN on the northeast slope of the Vulture Mountain, just under one kilometer west of the hamlet of Eichenfürst . It flows strongly straightened first in an east-southeast direction through fields, then along the southern edge of a coniferous forest. Then he feeds a tiny pond in a meadow. It now runs through a mixed forest on the southern edge, then passes under the B 8 and then flows through the forest. Almost 200 m down the stream, the stream, which has so far been heavily straightened, can develop more freely. It reaches the southern part of the hamlet of Eichenfürst and joins there with the north and left source branches that are almost half as long and come in from the oak hedges in the northwest.
The now unified Eichenfürster Bach flows in the inlet direction of the shorter branch to the southeast through a forest tip, then through grassland, then squeezes through its narrow, wooded gorge on the main valley slope, changes there briefly into the district of Trennfeld of the municipality of Triefenstein , crosses under the riverside road and flows out finally in the Lower Main Valley in the natural area 141.02 Marktheidenfeld-Wertheimer Main Valley in the area of the Marktheidenfeld district at an altitude of 142 m above sea level. NN at Main km 177.2 from the right into the Main flowing in from the north.
