action

Monika Bach, who is divorced from her husband, is given a bus trip to Scotland from her mother Gertrud. As an exchange student, Monika was already in the country 30 years ago and still has fond memories of the time. Unfortunately, the journey in the bus, which is full of pensioners in addition to her mother, is not very pleasant for Monika. When the opportunity presents itself, she leaves the tour group and sets out on her own to find a lead that will lead her to her first love: Monika met Angus Sinclair at that time, who has not been with her since then Head was gone.

On her way she meets Richard Travis, a globetrotter and landscape photographer, and almost at the same time she finds her old love Agnus, who is meanwhile a made man in the whiskey industry. After her divorce, Monika suddenly has the choice between two attractive men and not least her mother, who has lived alone since her husband's death.

At first, Monika has a bad conscience: She doesn't want to let her mother travel back alone and decides to go home with the tour group. On the day of departure, however, she decides differently, even if her suitcases are already packed. She wants to stay in Scotland. Although Monika did not expect this, her mother shows great understanding. Monika's way back by car leads to Richard, who she ultimately decided on.

Rainer Tittelbach went into court with harsh words and judged sharply: “Kracht and Hehn are doing better than expected. But this folksy, shirt-sleeved comedy-like nature destroys more than the feel-good clichés ”. The film critic drew an almost devastating conclusion: “A rather weak film from the otherwise often so refreshing series. Something for the elderly ”.
