A Trio to Bite Yourself is an American television series that was broadcast on ABC television from March 11, 1998 to May 16, 2001 . In Germany, the series was first seen from December 30, 2000 to July 13, 2002 on VOX .

In English the series was called Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place . In the third season, the series was renamed Two Guys and a Girl , as the pizzeria Pete and Berg worked at no longer played a role in the series.

Characters

Michael Bergen ( Ryan Reynolds ), called "Berg" by everyone, wants to study medicine. Until then, he takes part in questionable experiments. He tests z. B. Allergy medication, talking marathon shoes and creams with high levels of estrogen that make him burst into tears at the slightest little thing. Alongside his studies, he works with his roommate and best friend Pete on Bill's Beacon Street Pizza. When he's bored, he likes to interfere in Pete's affairs, which ultimately doesn't always go well.

Peter "Pete" Dunville ( Richard Ruccolo ) is Berg's roommate and best friend. He studies architecture, but is not sure whether he really wants to pursue this profession. When he later decides to give up his studies, he first works in the pizzeria and later becomes a sports reporter, where he fails miserably, then a chauffeur. Ultimately, he finds his luck with the fire department.

Sharon Carter ( Traylor Howard ) is Pete and Berg's best friend. She was an environmental activist in her youth, but now works as a press officer for a corporation that pollutes the environment. She is not at a loss for an answer and is honest - at least in her private life.

Johnny Donnelly ( Nathan Fillion ) appears for the first time in the 2nd season. He is Sharon's new boyfriend, but Pete and Berg reject him because they think he's stupid. After some problems, he and Sharon finally get married and move into their own house.

Ashley Walker ( Suzanne Cryer ) is a fellow student of Berg. They both share a mutual dislike, as Berg cannot bear that she has better grades than him. Pete and Sharon don't like Ashley either as she says everything directly and is very offensive. Over the course of the series, she and Berg become a couple. However, Ashley is still married and Berg has to fight for a relationship again. After Berg won Ashley back, she moved in with him. But even that will not last long. After separating again, she becomes a lodger with Sharon and Johnny. She eventually gets together with Pete towards the end of the series.

Irene ( Jillian Bach ) is Pete and Berg's somewhat crazy neighbor. She loves to devote her time to her cats. After Pete does her a favor, she believes he is in love with her. Pete can't convince her otherwise and she keeps chasing him. She only leaves Pete alone when she falls in love with Berg. Berg and Irene eventually become a couple.

Bill ( Julius Carry ) is the owner of Beacon Street Pizza and the boss of Pete and Berg. He is constantly listening to Pete and Berg's problems and has great difficulty getting them to work.

Melissa ( Jennifer Westfeldt ) is Pete's girlfriend in the first season. Pete actually wants to break up with her, but then changes his mind. But when he makes it clear to her that he has no interest in moving in with her, they break up.

Mr. Bauer ( David Ogden Stiers ) is a permanent guest at "Beacon Street Pizza". He is a bit mentally confused and always wants to tell the guests stories from his eventful life. However, these are storylines from famous film classics.
