A Hopeful Young Killer (Original title: Angel's Dance ) is an American fictional film from 1999 directed by David L. Corley . The main roles in the action comedy are played by James Belushi , Sheryl Lee and Kyle Chandler .

action

The Mafioso Vinnie needed after the death of one of his best killer a replacement. The professional killer Steve Rosellini is supposed to train the inexperienced Tony to be his successor. Before Tony takes on his new job, he should first test his skills on an exercise target. The choice fell on the mentally unstable Angelica, called Angel.

Angel is prevented from her planned suicide by a failed attempted murder by Tony. After all, she is worried about her own life after the assassination and decides to defend herself. She gets a gun and hunts the two contract killers herself, but her murder attempt also fails. While the two are hunting each other, Tony falls in love with Angelica.

The film was first shown at the Cinequest Film Festival on February 25, 1999. In most countries it was then released directly on videotape . In Germany it was shown on television for the first time on June 16, 2000.
