Railway accident insurance

The Railway Accident Insurance ( CEC ) from 1994 to 2014 Unfallkasse for statutory accident insurance of employees of Deutsche Bahn AG , the majority of domestic subsidiaries and the Federal Railroad Fund jurisdiction. The EUK was a corporation under public law and had its headquarters in Frankfurt am Main .

The previous institution was the Federal Railway Authority for Accident Insurance (BUVB).

The Eisenbahn-Unfallkasse and the Unfallkasse des Bundes merged on January 1, 2015 to form the new Federal and Railway Accident Insurance (UVB). The new agency has its headquarters in Wilhelmshaven and Frankfurt as well as nine other locations.

Services

The Accident Fund provided preventive health education and bore the costs for accidents at work , commuting accidents and occupational diseases . These included curative treatments for medical rehabilitation , services for participation in working life ( vocational rehabilitation ) and services for participation in community life and in the event of need for care ( social rehabilitation ).
