Ice hockey championship of Asia and Oceania of the U18 juniors
from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The junior ice hockey championship of Asia and Oceania was an annual tournament for national teams of the U18 juniors from 1984 to 1998, which was introduced as a counterpart to the European ice hockey championship of the U18 juniors.
From 1999 the teams of Asia and Oceania were integrated into the competition system of the newly created U18 Junior World Championship. Until 2002 they formed independent groups there, from which the respective winners were promoted to the next division. From 2003 onwards, regional groups were finally dispensed with.
