Elías Samuel Bolaños Avelar
Elías Samuel Bolaños Avelar SDB (born February 16, 1951 in Cutumay , El Salvador ) is a Salvadoran religious and Roman Catholic bishop of Zacatecoluca .
Life
Elías Samuel Bolaños Avelar entered the religious order of the Salesians of Don Bosco and received on 27 October 1979, the sacrament of Holy Orders .
On February 27, 1998, Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Zacatecoluca . The Archbishop of Managua , Miguel Cardinal Obando Bravo SDB, donated him episcopal ordination on March 25 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of San Salvador , Fernando Sáenz Lacalle , and the Coadjutor Bishop of San Miguel , Romeo Tovar Astorga OFM .
