Industrial electrical profession
Industrial electrical professions are training professions in the field of electrical engineering that have been defined by the trade associations , employers' organizations , trade unions and the Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training in association with the Central Association of Electrical Engineering and Electronics Industry eV (ZVEI) and recognized by state regulation.

The following industrial electrical occupation was added in 2009:
- Industrial electrician from August 1, 2009
2003
In 2003 the following industrial electrical professions were recognized (updated 2007):
- Electronics technician for building and infrastructure systems
- Electronics technician for industrial engineering
- Electronics technician for automation technology
- Electronics technician for devices and systems
- Systems computer scientist
- Electronics technician for aerospace systems
At the same time, the following industrial electrical trades were eliminated:
- Electrical machine fitter
- Energy electronics technician
- Process control electronics technician (from 1992)
- Industrial electronics technician (with 2 areas of specialization)
- Communications electronics technician ( with 3 areas of specialization)
- Aircraft Electronics Technician (from 1997)
