Elena Mandrino (born November 10, 1984 in Alessandria ) is an Italian skeleton athlete .

Elena Mandrino lives in Alessandria . She started skeleton in 2007 and is trained by Dany Locati and Stefano Maldifassi (track), Omar Sacco (sprint) and Pino Lapadula (strength). In December 2007 she contested her first race as part of the Coppa Italia . In January 2008 she made her debut in the European Skeleton Cup . In Winterberg she was 22nd in two races each. In the 2008/09 season she also competed in the European Cup, but never reached positions among the top 15. In the national championships, she was fourth in 2009 after she was fifth in 2008, again missing a medal barely. In the 2009/10 season , Mandrino came in ninth in the top ten for the first time in two races in Altenberg . Mandrino also finished ninth in the overall ranking of the racing series. At the Italian championships she was runner- up behind Costanza Zanoletti in 2010; In 2011 she won the title ahead of Teresita Bramante Vallana . In 2010 , the Italian made her debut in the Skeleton Intercontinental Cup in Winterberg and finished 16th. In January 2011, she also made her World Cup debut in St. Moritz , where Mandrino was 23rd.
