Elisa Mörzinger comes from Altenfelden in the Mühlviertel and starts for the SU Böhmerwald. She has a sister and started skiing when she was three years old. After attending the Windischgarsten main ski school , she switched to the Stams ski school , where she graduated in 2016.
At the age of 16 she competed in her first FIS races in Schladming . In January 2016 she made her debut in the downhill from Zauchensee in the European Cup , but could not assert herself in the first races. She only achieved first place in the points in December 2018 in the Super-G of Kvitfjell . A year later, she made it to the podium for the first time as third in the giant slalom in Trysil . In December she finished second in Andalo and her first victory.
Mörzinger made her World Cup debut on October 26, 2019 in the giant slalom in Sölden . In three other races she could not qualify for the second round. She achieved this for the first time on January 19, 2020 in the parallel giant slalom in Sestriere , where she surprisingly advanced to the finals and only there was defeated by the French Clara Direz .
