Elisa Montés

Elisa Montés (actually Elisa Rosario Ruiz Penella , born December 15, 1934 in Granada ) is a Spanish actress . She comes from a family of artists.

Life

Montés was on stage at a young age and made her screen debut in Jesús Pascuals Elena in 1954 . As a stage name she chose a title part from the work of her grandfather, the composer Manuel Penella , El gato montés . Until the early 1970s, she mostly played roles as a threatened beautiful woman or a young woman at the side of the hero in nearly fifty productions, including many genre films with an emphasis on action . Then she made herself rarer, but now also devoted herself to television and appeared there in one of the most remarkable television series in her home country: In 1981, Montés played the role of "Carmen" in Verano azul .

Montés took on more and more engagements for stage appearances; in the 1990s she returned to the screen and screen for two films and the television series Hermanos de leche .

Montés is the sister of actresses Emma Penella and Terele Pávez ; her father is the judicial politician Ramón Ruiz Alonso . From May 1960 she was married for many years to the actor Antonio Ozores ; her daughter Emma is also an actress.
