action

A series of murders shakes London: after the murderer packs his victims' suitcases, he kills them with a precise knife throw. It was not until the third victim that Inspector Redford and his friend, crime writer Charles Barton , found a clue: the suitcase was stolen after the murder.

In Andy Pickwick's crime scene photos , Dr. Bladmore to be identified as a thief. Inspector Redford searches for Dr. Bladmore up. The doctor pretends not to be able to remember a suitcase, but his assistant Helen later finds the suitcase and discovers ampoules with mescaline there . Meanwhile, a fourth murder is committed and again Dr. Bladmore at the scene. When Inspector Redford went to see the doctor, he was lost and his apartment was devastated.

Meanwhile, Charles Barton takes on the owners of the Flamingo Club, claiming that the club has mescaline. He is dumped in the Thames by Celia and Roger, but survives and later reveals himself to be Bennett Reeds (allegedly deceased husband of Helen).

Dr. Bladmore himself lives in a castle as Lord Cronsdale and is the boss of the gang from the Flamingo Club. He has Helen Bennett kidnapped. Bennett Reeds, however, is able to free his wife and murders Dr. Bladmore and his gang.

The breakup: Bennett Reeds was an FBI man convicted of drug offenses. He broke out of prison and assumed the identity of the late convict Charles Barton. Together with the knife thrower Patakes he began to take revenge on those who destroyed his life with mescaline. In the end, both are shot by Inspector Redford.

In other countries, Horst Tappert role name was James Barton instead Charles Barton (The name James Barton himself appears in the film in a passport and on a sign). Jess Franco shot the film under the pen name Jess Frank . Artur Brauner worked on the script under the pseudonym Art Bernd .

The film was shot in Portugal and was ready in April 1971. However, Constantin did not bring it to the cinemas for the first time until November 9, 1972.
