Elisabeth "Eli" Pinedo Sáenz (born May 13, 1981 in Amurrio ) is a former Spanish handball player .
Career
Elisabeth Pinedo played with BM Bera Bera in Donostia-San Sebastián until 2004 , with CB Amadeo Tortajada in the 2004/05 season and then with Astroc Sagunto until 2007 . From 2007 to 2010 the 1.75-meter-tall left winger was under contract with SD Itxako , with whom she won the EHF Cup in 2009 and the championship in 2009 and 2010. After playing for the Danish first division club HC Odense in the 2010/11 season , she ran again for BM Bera Bera in 2011. With Bera Bera she won the championship in 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016.
Pinedo was part of the Spanish national team , for which she played 201 internationals . With Spain she won the silver medal at the European Championships in Macedonia in 2008 and bronze at the 2011 World Championships in Brazil and the 2012 Olympic Games in London . In 2014 she won the silver medal at the European Championships. She also took part in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro . After the 2016 Olympics, she ended her career.
