Elisabeth Zwick

Elisabeth Zwick (born March 20, 1960 in Murnau (Garmisch-Partenkirchen district); † July 4, 2019 in Munich ) was a German Roman Catholic theologian , philosopher , educator and university teacher . She taught as an adjunct professor at the Faculty of Philosophy and Education and the Catholic Theological Faculty of the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich.

Life

After graduating from the Rhabanus-Maurus-Gymnasium in Sankt Ottilien , Elisabeth Zwick studied Catholic theology from 1979 at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich with a degree in theology. in 1985. This was followed by a doctoral degree , which she completed in 1987 with a thesis on the tension between the Trinity and history. She continued her studies at the Faculty of Philosophy and Education at the LMU, where she received her doctorate in 1992 with a thesis on the constitution of historicity based on fundamental questions about the possibility of a dialogue between Sören Kierkegaard and Thomas von Aquin .

In 2000 habilitated them with a thesis on the main currents of the Middle Ages, thereby making a contribution to the Repositioning of this period in the context of educational research. With that she acquired the venia legendi . In 2010 she was appointed associate professor at LMU. In the summer semester of 2019, Elisabeth Zwick took over the chair for religious education at the Catholic Theological Faculty of the LMU.
