Andreas Wollbold

Andreas Wollbold (* 1960 in Saarbrücken ) is a German theologian .

Life

After graduating from Ludwigsgymnasium (Saarbrücken) in 1978 , he was the second of six children to study philosophy and theology from 1978 to 1986 in Rome , Trier , Poona and Munich ( licentiate in theology and patristic sciences). After being ordained priest in 1984 ( Diocese of Trier ), he was chaplain in Neunkirchen (Saar) from 1986 to 1989 . In 1989 he became a pilgrimage chaplain in Klausen (Eifel) . From 1989 to 1997 he obtained his doctorate in Trier and his habilitation in Freiburg im Breisgau . He was active as a pastor in the Wittlich (Eifel) district and clerical adviser to the diocesan association of the “ Social Service of Catholic Women ” in Trier. From 1997 to 2003 he taught as a professor for pastoral theology and religious education at the Philosophical-Theological Study in Erfurt (later the Theological Faculty Erfurt and then University of Erfurt ) and was a pastoral assistant there. Since 2003 he has been teaching as a professor of pastoral theology at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich and is a parish pastor in the Freising district .
