Elisavet Pesiridou ( Greek Ελισάβετ Πεσιρίδου ; * February 12, 1992 ) is a Greek athlete who specializes in the 100-meter hurdles .

Athletic career

In 2013 Pesiridou took part in the U23 European Championships and made it to the semi-finals with a new personal best. In 2014 she was able to improve further and qualify for the European Championships in Zurich , both over the 100 meter hurdles and with the 4 x 100 meter relay. Despite a new best performance in the preliminary round, she failed through her specialty discipline, while the Greek relay reached the semifinals. In 2015 she was able to produce good results, especially indoors, and so she started at the 2015 European Indoor Championships in Prague . In the open-air season she did not succeed and so she was denied participation in the World Championships in Beijing. In 2016, she fell below the 13-second mark for the first time in Patras , making her the third fastest Greek woman over the sprint hurdles. In the final of the European Championships in 2016 , she finished sixth, but this time failed with the relay in the preliminary round. At the Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro , she was eliminated as a total of 33rd in the preliminary round.

At the European Indoor Championships in Belgrade in 2017 , she reached the semi-finals. She qualified again for the World Championships in London , where she was eliminated in the preliminary round.
