Elke Hermannsdörfer (born November 9, 1947 in Thumsenreuth , Upper Palatinate ) is a German writer .

Life

Elke Hermannsdörfer completed an apprenticeship as a medical-technical assistant and worked in this profession for several years in hospitals and in molecular biology research . She then studied German and biology for four semesters at the Weingarten University of Education . She stayed in France and Italy for a long time ; from 1985 she lived as a freelance journalist and writer in Cologne. In the following years they often worked for the radio of the WDR . The author now lives in Naples .

Elke Hermannsdörfer is the author of novels , short stories , fairy tales , radio plays , radio features and television scripts .

Elke Hermannsdörfer is a member of the Association of German Writers . Her youth books have been on selection lists for children's and youth literature several times ; In 1987 the historical book for young people Lina Kasunke received the Owl of the Month award .
