Ellen Frauenknecht

Ellen Frauenknecht (* 1978 in Heilbronn ) is a German editor . She is a moderator at NDR and in the stock exchange editorial office of hr .

life and career

After completing her undergraduate studies in economics and social policy in London, she gained her first journalistic experience in 1997, first with Axel Springer Verlag in Hamburg, then with Axel Springer International Service in London. Ellen Frauenknecht wrote for Bild , Die Welt , Welt am Sonntag and the Hamburger Abendblatt , among others .

She worked for Bloomberg TV from 1999 to 2004 and reported, among other things, from the floor of the New York Stock Exchange and the German stock market for the Bloomberg partnerships FAZ Businessradio and N24 . At the same time, she studied and in 2003 finally obtained a “First Class Honors Bachelor of Science ” in Economics and Social Policy at the University of London .

From 2004 to 2006 she reported for CNBC Europe as a correspondent on the European Central Bank and the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. From 2006 to 2010 she also moderated the business news of the German international broadcaster DW TV in Berlin .

Frauenknecht has been working regularly for the Tagesschau , Morgen - und Mittagsmagazin , the Phoenix broadcaster , hr and EinsExtra since 2007 .

From the middle of 2011 she also took over the moderation of the news in the newly created late edition of NDR aktuell . Here she takes turns with Thomas Kausch on a weekly basis .
