Elriksen was a village settlement, first mentioned in a document in 1307, in what is today the district of the north Hessian city of Wolfhagen , district of Kassel , which had fallen desolately in 1515 at the latest .

Geographical location

The small town was located about 3 km northeast of Wolfhagen at 288  m on the south bank of the Lohbach , a little west of today's Philippinenthal settlement, the northern part of the Wolfhagen district of Philippinenburg and -thal . The official field name Elserfeld can be found there today , in dialect Ölzerfeld.

history

The place was first mentioned in 1307 as "Elrixen" in documents of the Hasungen monastery and in 1308 as "villa", but existed long before and was, in each case as an allod , half owned by Johann von Osede and half by the Lords of Helfenberg . In the years 1307 to 1309, the Helfenbergers sold their goods and rights, including the tithe , to the abbot and convent of Hasungen in Elrixen, and in 1309 the abbot and convent finally also bought the lower jurisdiction in the village, which previously had half that of Helfenberg and Johann had heard of Osede.
