Elsa Zamparelli

Elsa Zamparelli (* 8. December 1944 as Marie Johanna Elizabeth Vande Bovenkamp ) is an American costume designer .

Life

Elsa Zamparelli started her film career in the Art Department . From 1985 to 1986 she was assistant art director on the television series California Clan . She had her greatest success as a costume designer for Who Dances With Wolves . For her work, she was nominated for the Oscar in the category Best Costume Design at the 1991 Academy Awards. However, Franca Squarciapino received the Oscar for her work on Cyrano von Bergerac . The last of the Mohicans followed in 1992, where she was also responsible for the costume design. For this film she received a nomination for the British Academy Film Awards 1993 in the category Best Costumes , which however went to Catherine Martin and Angus Strathie for Strictly Ballroom .

From 1993 to 2013 she worked as a set decorator for the soap opera Reich und Schön . For this work, she was nominated a total of 11 times for a Daytime Emmy Award , which she was allowed to win three times (1993, 1994 and 2012).
